Let’s Sit Across a Table

Let’s sit across a table. You and me. Let’s unlock our minds, open our thoughts and pour into each other perspective, similar to the mixing of two cups of water, one blue, one red.

Upon the first pronouncement, red pours a little bit of water into the blue cup, turning the blue water a slightly different color. In response, the individual representing the blue cup pours some water into the red, similarly changing the color from red to a different shade.

This conversation continues. Both of us taking turns pouring thoughts and perspectives into each other’s minds. In an ideal world, at the end of the conversation, both individuals would, be richer and more understanding of the other side. The combination of both blue and red water in the cups would ultimately turn both cups into the same shade of purple. This purple represents the combined perspective of both sides. Both people can now understand where the other is coming from, what they believe in, how they think, act, and interpret the world around them.

Go out and make purple.
